Collage artist, Thais Silva, uses a mixture of technology and black culture in a rendition of her unique afrofuturistic worlds. She uses vintage images of historical indigenous people, beautifully transcribed into hopeful and harmonious universes of the future.

Silva, a.k.a. Black Collage, tells striking stories of the past meeting the future in these beautiful digital and analog collages. The Brazilian artist uses paint and cutouts, as well as digital photo manipulation to re-imagine a future where Black people thrive while still practicing their enriching traditions and culture. Her work shows that there's no reason why an embrace of technology should also mean an abandonment of local culture.
