Eyeglasses for the Head by Cyrus Kabiru

We’ve always loved Cyrus Kabiru and his utterly imaginative eyewear! The Kenyan artist seamlessly blends sculpture and fashion with the extremely important issue of waste and overconsumption. His intrinsic and fascinating eyeglasses are made of recycled materials rescued from waste.

With this recent work, Cyrus stretches his art further - where we usually have eye wear sculptures, we now have equally intricate helmet sculptures; where we usually have stark grey metal, we have pops of vibrant colour. But regardless of what Cyrus irons out, it uniquely works.
