Nana Yaw Oduro's Local Models

Ghanaian photographer, Nana Yaw Oduro, gives us lovely, wholesome images of what local boys in Accra get up to to their journey towards self-acceptance and self-growth. Really though, they are life-sized actors for what goes on in Oduro's head.

The photographer has consistently said that he finds enthusiastic young local boys in his community to exhibit the feelings he has in his heart and in his thoughts. Through their movements and poses, Oduro literally brings his random imaginings to life.

We imagine that it's such a freeing stance to take - whereby your work is as free and unrestricted as any thought that burrows in your head, without the burden of a storyline
