Portraits and Pop by Goz

What’s in a portrait? This question has fascinated people for a while - from the early days of photography where portraits were seen as a capture of the soul, to modern times as seen with recent obsessions about selfies. Portraits, as simple as they seem, can be absolutely powerful - with the subject telling much without saying a word.

Illustrator Kwa Goz, gives us doses of portraiture with his 100 day project. Each artwork features a portrait of a real person, like you and I, but expanded with beautiful, bursting colors. The style of his earlier portraits in this project captures us the most because of the fluid patterns that make the subjects stand out so much more.
