Nigerian illustrator, Yemisi Williams, a.k.a. Yellow Yemisi, sets herself apart with her compelling portraits of googly-eyed Africans. These portraits show trendy, contemporary and chic individuals who invite us to discover their back stories with our imaginations.

Her 2017 illustrations, for example, include portraits of fictional Nigerian characters that we can nevertheless relate to.
