A Hair Heritage by Ohab TBJ
Ohab Tochukwu Bernard Johnbosco, also known as TBJ, is a Nigerian visual artist and illustrator who’s unique style of using intricate lines and patterns continues to set him apart! We’ve always loved the vibrancy of his work and how he portrays his African heritage through style and fashion in his art.
In this series, he uses these skills to simply depict a core part of African culture - hairstyles. Here, he opts for a neutral background instead of his typical color blocked or harsh white space design - but this serves to showcase even more the vintage nature of these hairstyles that currently struggle to thrive in our contemporary world.
We love these!
