Wearable Art by Melissa Simon-Hartman

British artist, Melissa Simon-Hartman, specializes in custom hand-crafted fashion and costume pieces that will simply wow you! She draws inspiration from her Trinidadian and Ghanaian heritage, so much so that you can’t deny the West Indian and West African influences across each of her designs.

Her creations are the definition of ‘wearable art’ and for good reason, she has seen some prominent recognition. So far, her work has appeared in major festivals (such as Notting Hill Carnival), music videos (such as with Doja Cat), and high-profile collaborations, including Beyoncé's "Black Is King." Ultimately, Melissa’s creations celebrate African narratives that make each design both visually striking and deeply meaningful.
