Spirit of Colours by Yannis Davy

Gabonese photographer, Yannis Davy Guibinga, always invokes the spirit of joy, optimism and youth in his art. The artist renders these emotions through his portraits, characterised by a kaleidoscope of colours made even more prominent by the darkness of his subjects’ skins.

Across all these, his art clearly gives off a modern vibe. Somehow, this vibe is emphasised even when his figures are adorned in traditional pieces (including ancient pieces such as cowries).
