Channeling Divinity by Herrera

Katia Herrera is a young artist from the Dominican Republic who’s sure to capture you if you stumble on her Instagram page even once. She uses digital collage to paint a picture of a future where Black people are strong, in control, and in fact, divine. Each piece is simply vibrant and glowing, with the richest hues of purple you’ve ever seen.

Herrera’s collages speak of Black people expressing their divinity and godliness. There’s a piece where a goddess controls planets while being in harmony with the local wildlife that are channeling her. How about a fearsome woman ruling the galaxy, where all act within her watchful eye.
