Reyna Noriega in Bloom

American Afro-Latina artist, Rehna Noriega, brings us illustrations which are simply a celebration of strong and inspiring women. The artist illustrates the women who have touched her life and inspired her in some form or the other. She lets these women know how much of an impact they’ve had on her life in the most beautiful ways - by her digital art, and via her words as well.

Through it all, she portrays these women at peace with themselves and their environment. Every art piece features an illustrated portrait bursting with flowers and plants - ever in bloom, like the woman herself. Every subject has their features blanked out - as if to say that even though Noriega is honoring specific women of color for their outstanding impact, that woman could be each of us.
